Company

AEBi — Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies.

A small, privately held Israeli research company. One platform, two applications: screening for partners, and AEBi's own therapeutics.

The company

Built on one idea, held to it.

In 2000, Dr. Ilan Morad had an idea as to how to create what can be described as a functional phage display. With it, he applied to the ITEK incubator in the Weizmann Science Park. Six years later, AEBi proved that the technology — SoAP — really works. The intellectual property is protected.

The platform has been flexible from the start: it exploits combinatorial biology to discover new and better lead compounds against disease targets, and it is used not only to find binders but to select the best functional molecules among them.

AEBi has been managed since then on a single premise — that the ability to manipulate and design peptides is a better foundation than most existing trajectories of drug development. That premise is unchanged.
